if you mean a child under 1 year old - definitely take her to the dr - chicken pox can come with very high fevers - my son had it when he was 3 and he was extremely ill -

I don't think calamine lotion is here in Korea - but baking soda is - you can make a tepid water/baking soda rinse and sponge it over the sores - it will relieve the itching and help prevent infection - just make sure not to let the child catch a chill from the rinsing. use a sponge bath method or something. very impot not to scratch, it will cause scars!

Thank you for the info! I took him today and they said they weren't sure yet if it was chicken pox or an allergic reaction. I have to take him back tomorrow.

Thanks Moosehead for the baking soda idea! I really appreciate it!

Yipee! My husband just walked in from work and found it at a local pharmacy!
