Hi Guys

I'm going to sign a public school contract and I'll have to get a flight to Incheon. The flight will be reimbursed but it must be economy class.

I want to know the cost of a flight from London or Paris non stop to Seoul. I'm seeing prices like 1,500 ~ $3,000. Does that seem reasonable?

What airline/travel agents did others use?

Thanks

Those prices are way above what you should be paying.

I believe only korean air and Asiana have direct flights from London to Seoul.

I did a search on Korean air. (from Nov 1 2008 - to late 2009) price 1300 Euro.

If you are willing to take a connecting flight Try Cathay Pacific, used the same dates.. and cost 856 pounds.

Both flights include tax.

I spent more time typing this post than searching for flights, I'm sure if you look around you will be able to do better.

Air France was the cheapest I could find to go home at Christmas. It was 1.4 million (about 850 euro at the time) return via Paris. That was from the Air France website.

Make sure you use the European/UK site portal. The prices shown on the Korean portal will be significantly lower than what you will pay. (This is intended for the OP)

Korean Air and Air Asiana are more expensive because only they do direct. My recent flight over was just short of 1000 pounds, but I only booked about 5 days in advance. And PS paid for it. Shouldn,t your PS be paying for it and not you? Try to gt them to because it's a lotta dosh.

BA and Cathy do a code share for about 700 but it's a long flight via Hong Kong - twice as long as it needs to be.

Work on the PS paying for it. Pressure the recruiter to get it sorted.
