So my CT has asked me to do a speaking test for our two 3rd grade classes on Thursday and Monday next week. Now, I don't teach the 3rd graders so I've no idea what they've been doing English wise so far this year. In fact, I think that the whole speaking test thing for them is purely an administrative 'box-ticking' exercise. Anyway, regardless of the futility of it, I've been asked to do it so I need to prepare some questions.

What I usually do with my 1st and 2nd graders is base what I ask them around those areas that I've covered. For example, my 1st grade speaking tests the week after next will be used to practice using comparatives, superlatives, using because, so and since etc. Straight forward enough. However, I was thinking about devising some scenario type questions for the 3rd graders like:

Okay. I want you to imagine (sangsanghada) that you're ..... and someone .... What would you do?

Kind of like the questions that the guy from the Tyrell Corporation asks Leon at the start of the film Blade Runner to find out if his a replicant or not.

Any suggestions? The more imaginative the better.
