Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the process is different for F4 visa holders compared to E2 holders.

for gyopos (F4) out there,
when you wire money to your account back home, do the Korean banks require any documentation?

If you send money through the atm rather than by other wiring methods, isn't it a cheaper fee?

I'm with Nonghyup. Is it possible to send money home via atm?

Ask the Korean bank you're with to make you an international ATM card (double check that you can use it in your home country). Then mail that card to whomever you send money to back home.
This way, it only charges ATM fees and you don't have to go through the hassle of transfers and such. I'm sure WaeHan Bank has this. Other banks must too.

A lot of ATMs have a limit to how much cash you can withdraw.

As for gyopos, I've been asked for my passport every time I've wired money home. they stamp my passport and write in the amount that was sent.

I pay the same fee as any other E2 holder, and I don't get any extra/special treatment because i'm a gyopo, or by my F visa status.
