|
|
I want to get rid of my 19" CRT that I've had for more than 3.5 years and upgrade to an LCD. I play games once in a while, but I don't think I want to spend more than 200,000. Can I find something decent for that price, or do I need to spend more? Any recommendations?
I don't need anything like what this person is selling either: http://forums.eslcafe.com/korea/viewtopic.php?t=137058&sid=fce854d79795182336af99c7f4b3fbb2 That's over the top for my needs |

Where are you seeing a 22" for 200,000?
I selected 56cm, widescreen, and a response time from 1-4. The cheapest I found was for 219,000, and the monitor is nearly two years old. Do you mind showing me what you found?
I was thinking of spending a little more money and getting this: http://digitallcd.co.kr/product/productView.php?nProdCode=685321&service_id=pcdn
Can I find something comparable for cheaper? |

If you want a response time of 1-4ms then you'll pay more, for sure. If you're serious about gaming then you'll want that fast response time to cut down on ghosting etc.........
A response time of 5-8ms is still pretty respectable. Lots of 22 inchers are listed in that category for around 200,000.
Personally, my eye can't really pick up on the difference between a screen of 4ms and 6ms. Anyway, I spend a lot more time watching HD movies than gaming........so for me, the larger screen, 24'' or bigger, and a not so fast response time is just fine. |

Is the difference in response time between 3ms and 5ms or 6ms fairly negligible? I do play games, but is a 5ms or 6ms respone rate really going to affect the image on the screen that much?
There are way too many monitors to choose from in the 5-8ms category on Danawa |

It's very subjective I think. The response time thing. Some people say they can see the difference, some don't.
Try searching for 22'' widescreen monitor reviews. To give you an idea which brands are respected outside of Korea.
From my browsing of tech sites I would say that the top brands are, in no real order, Samsung, Dell, Ben-Q, Viewsonic, LG, and maybe Hanns-G. |
