My girlfriend is finishing (starting, really) her grad thesis and needs to get at least 20 native middle and high school English teachers' responses to her surveys. It shouldn't take long at all. Also, she needs your students' responses from two classes.
She lives in Incheon, and would probably drive as far as Bucheon, Incheon, and Seoul to pick them up, as I told her most foreigners wouldn't be keen on the idea of hunting down a post office and forking over a couple thousand won to help out a stranger. Anyway, it'd be a nice thing to do, and I'd appreciate it because she would stop doing that Korean whining thing. You know the one. Thanks in advance! Please PM me with your email address if you are interested! |

Well if that's all it take to buy an education (and to produce a thought and thesis), I'll reply twenty times.
Just PM me and it is fine....
She will have her data, get her degree and feel like she is "accomplished". Sounds like a paper review I sat through this weekend LOL!
You gotta be kidding! but if you are not, I'll send you my email and we can start with those 20 replies.
If you have any questions about my questions, please just ask about why I would suspect the validity and doubt the rigour of such a survey

PS. Is this what higher education has become? Fill in the blanks of a survey? |

Happy to help PM me. Also happy to post back to you.
Just an idea. Yes most foreigners are a bit scared of going to the post office etc. Maybe if you include the mailing address in bothe English and Korean, respondents can just stick it on the envelope.
Good luck. |

Thank you so much to those of you willing! I will send out PMs this afternoon. Ddeubel, yes, unfortunately the graduate education is not up to Western expectations and standards here, which is probably why many if not most Korean professors (and the better unis) get their terminal degrees abroad. Her graduate thesis is shorter and less time intensive than my last paper I wrote for linguistics course I just completed for my own grad work. Incredible, really, but not surprising. |
