So C. Sheehan faults N. Pelosi for not being liberal enough, for failing to end the war, to end all war, really, and for failing to impeach and then brutally execute W. Bush by waterboarding and Chinese torture methods -- and now she aims to replace her in the House. Go get 'em, tiger!

Cindy for Congress!

This thread is created to track and then celebrate her defeat next week. Or, should she win, then it will track and then celebrate her angry turn to B. Obama oppositionist when he fails to end the war and imprison W. Bush forthwith..

You're right, maybe the waterboarding and Chinese torture parts are a little OTT.

But hey, is there ever a candidate with whom you agree on everything (Congressman Ted Weiss, RIP, notwithstanding)?

Cindy Sheehan dishonors the memory of her son. Were my mother to act as she has, I'd come back from the grave and kick her square in the ass.

I love reading her blog...

Nancy is always on the side of the people who are corporate elitists.

Hmm. What elite? What is "elitism?" Who is "the elite" that she is referring to here?

I love her choice of pics, too. The one with N. Pelosi and W. Bush must have damned the former in C. Sheehan's intolerant little eyes for all time...

Nancy Pelosi: MIA

Oh yeah: she has received endorsements from R. Barr, S. Penn, and M. Sheen...

So does this make the second or third time she is coming back from a self-imposed political exile?

Never fear, she will be defeated and vow to fade away quietly...then be back again in some other mode as a self-styled crusader for truth and justice.

It'll be nice to see her gone, and after the election there'll probably be little reason to listen to her anymore. There's something about people that get excited all by themselves for extra attention that I really don't like. She has it, Chavez has it. Por qu no se callan?

Cindy Sheehan's 15 minutes of fame expired a long time ago.

But, hey, in California being a media *beep* is more the norm than the exception to the rule these days, isn't it?

So Sean Penn and Martin Sheen have endorsed her? Well, that's reason enough not to get near her candidacy with a ten foot pole.

When did it become laudable to wear one's personal grief on one's public sleeve, I wonder?

And then we've got the public anguish of Jane Fonda and Susan Sarandon to concern ourselves with. They "threaten" to move to Canada. Wish it were more a promise.

As Steve McGarrett would say, "Where's a lousy cop when you need one?"

But she is right, ManintheMiddle. I agree with her on this point: N. Pelosi is an elitist tyrant (her words) and we should throw her out of office (her objective).

I think we ought to encourage her to continue getting her message out until Pelosi retires from office, thus allowing democracy to take Congress back...

Come again? What does that exactly entail "allowing democraty to take Congress back"?

As far as Pelosi, she is not exactly someone who is inspiring democrats out there. I preferred Tom Daschle somehow. He was more of a democrat that I liked watching speak. However, kudos to her for getting where she is today.

Cindy Sheehan lost her son in the war. I am sure she is angry. I don't know much about her views, but I don't pay attention to her politics, and I don't think many people attention to her politics, either. May her soldier of a son be resting in peace. Amen.

True. N. Pelosi seems to be studiously ignoring her. But these people not only pay attn to her politics -- but they also seem to agree with and fully support them.

C. Heston says it best...

As do most Americans, who are antiwar.

I think she was useful in pointing out how the war was basically wrong for America. It was good that she brought that point home in many ways.
As far as people motivated by grief, that often happens. That's how MADD got its start, I believe.

What exactly does she say that's outrageous? I don't really follow what she says or does. It would be good to have links and quotes. As far as connecting Pelosi to Bush, that seems rather far-fetched.

Yeah, I went on there to take a brief look. I haven't seen any blog postings. I see she wants to champion gay rights, allow sex workers some rights, have farm animals treated humanely, she's anti-war etc.... I don't agree with her when it comes to immigration. There are many security problems with unrestricted immigration. She wants to repeal the Taft-Harley Act. Did you see any postings on the blog? I keep hitting the blog link and nothing comes up. I guess she doesn't really write on there.
