Get some Viagara and a pair of tweezers to masturbate.. Guns aren't meant for pansies like you.

Same same. At my parents' there's still a unloaded 22 next to the door with a box of shells nearby. My parents live in the sticks on a farm that's why. Spent lots of time with my dad and brother shooting bottles at the garbage dump. Loads of fun. Great for concentration.

Can't wait to get back home and get some guns. Gonna teach my kids how to use them when they are young too.

Call me a redneck. I don't care.

I know it's a female cliche, but I sort of want an old Derringer or an ivory handled revolver that I can fit in my purse, boot, or that I can strap to my loins.

Oh, this is the one I was really looking for for you. I owned this gun in a different color:

I miss shooting so much that we actually found a shooting range up in Chuncheon (Gangwon-do). It costs 25,000 won for a box of 12 gauge shells. It's a pretty good deal if you consider back home they usually charge you 10 - 20 bucks to shoot skeet and you still have to supply your own shotgun or rent one and the cost of shells.

As for favorite firearm:

Hand gun wise one of my favs is my kimber 45 cal
rifle: I have 2 favs. one is my 5.56 M4 bushmaster and the other is a 1909 Argentine mauser that my father gave to me.

I agree that there is a lot of history behind most firearms. I collect old military firearms and redo them. Just one of my hobbies.

I don't have real guns, but I do have nice airsoft replicas. Good ol' M4A1 and AK-47 with almost the exact length and weight. Throw in a Berreta 9mm pistol and we are set!

It's refreshing to see other gun/shooting enthusists (yes I said it) on here. At work, I'm the only American amongst anti-gun Canadians (not fun). Currently at home I have:
Winchester 1300 12GA
Norinco SKS rifle
Ruger P89 9mm (my first handgun)
H & K USP .45 (Without question my best gun)
SigPro 2340 .40
S & W Model 10 .38 (My father likes to reload for this one)

I did own:
CZ 100 .40 (OK, but would jam occasionally)
Ruger P90 .45 (Nice, but sold to my uncle when I got my H & K)
Ruger P95 9mm (Reliable but not the most accurate)
S & W Sigma .40 (NOT reliable not a good gun)
Jennings .22auto (Cheap, unreliable, not too fun)

Almost forgot, I also own a .22 revolver that was made in the late 1800's. There were many companies making small inexpensive guns then and a lot had creative names. I think this one is called Baby Bear Laughing Anyway, my uncle gave it to me last year and said his great uncle got it from his father when he was 12 in 1899. Of course, it doesn't work and is a bit rusty, but it's a great keepsake.

I owned a Sigma in .380. I hated that gun as far as accuracy (shot way far down and to the left). I wasn't too impressed. The double-action trigger pull was too long and it always felt like the trigger was going to break. I know it's just meant to be a back-up gun, but still...

These guys took the Colts and made them better.

Which one exactly do you have? I have been considering the Ultra Carry II. Looks like the best personal-defense handgun I have ever seen.

I'd steer clear of the Ultra Carry II. Lots of people have had feed problems with those, until they put over 500 rounds through them. That's a very long break-in, and will cost you another $200 on top of the already high-priced gun just in ammo. Feed problems are not what you want with a concealed-carry gun. That and 1911's, although really fun, are known for breakage. You also have to keep them squeaky-clean at all times for proper functioning.

Do a google search and read what people are saying about it (yeah, I know this is a glock site, but others are similar).

Anyway, I like my Beretta 92FS. Close enough to my issued M9A1
that was an extension of me for four years including tours in Desert
Shield and Desert Storm.

.45? My only experience was my M3A1. Here's a bit. GreaseGunBaby.

Now THAT was a riot. Careful with that one. It only has a couple moving parts, and one's a bullet. Cool

Roger that the 92 series rocks. 1911 Colts are cool for stopping power but the bullet drops too fast, I can't remember the rate but I saw a comparison in American Rifleman around fall '87

1. Ruger 10-22
2. Colt target grip .22
3. Mossberg 500
4. Ruger P-85 9mm
5. M-1 Carbine (from my dad)
6. A .308 that some tweaker dropped.

The M-1 with a softball round will mess up a jackrabbit pretty good.

If you go to the gun show at the Klamath County Fairgrounds and dress like a hick you can buy the magazines that aren't allowed in CA

I hear there are some ranges in Korea where you can rent guns and shoot.

We should have a get together to shoot.

I'd do it, and I have some friends that would be all for it.

Shocked Just curious, about when was your Sears & Roebuck .22 made? I knew they had made them, but wasn't sure when they were most popular.
