Although I am no fan of Bush, I despise those that make up facts and claim them as the truth.

Your proclaimation makes you either a liar or an idiot.

Prior to his presidency, Bush had visited China in 1975, when his father was U.S. liaison, Gambia in 1990, and the Middle East in 1998, when he had begun thinking about his own run for the presidency. (He also traveled to Europe several times in the 90's with the Young Presidents' Organization, a group for corporate executives.)

Furthermore, according to Bush staffers, George W. Bush had visited these countries before becoming President:

Bermuda
Canada
China
Egypt
England
France
Gambia
Israel
Italy
Mexico
Scotland

No, maybe I just stand corrected. It seems he actually was in Mexico, Italy, the Mid-East, and Gambia.

Quote:
From the campaigns information, it appears Bush has never pushed through the crowds of Tokyo, or visited Red Square in Moscow, or taken an elevator to the top of the Eiffel Tower, or gazed on Big Ben, or walked through the ruins of ancient Greece, or experienced scores of other international adventures.

It seems that Bush not only does not know the names of many world leaders, he may have only a rudimentary knowledge of where these countries are and what theyre like.

The Republican nominee for president of the United States could be called the quintessential nowhere man, having gone fewer places and gained less world experience than any candidate for president in modern American history.

Outside of trips to Mexico, the country bordering Texas, Bush is claiming only three overseas trips. His longest was a month-long stay in China in 1975 when his father was U.S. envoy.

The New York Times cited this trip in an article about Bushs surprising ambition to be president, noting his overseas experience was pretty much limited to trying to date Chinese women (unsuccessfully) during a visit to Beijing in 1975. [NYT, Oct. 29, 2000]

Another overseas trip was with a delegation of state governors to the Middle East in 1998, Bush's campaign said. En route, Bush stopped in Italy to see one of his daughters, apparently Bushs only time in Europe.

The third overseas trip was a visit to the African country of Gambia as part of a U.S. delegation commemorating Gambias independence. [NYT, Oct. 30, 2000]

Those three trips leave out vast areas of the world and suggest a lack of curiosity about people and history outside American borders.

The Bush campaign sought to compare Bushs lack of world knowledge with that of presidents Bill Clinton, Ronald Reagan and Jimmy Carter. But those presidents had traveled widely in the world.

I do hope America returns to its roots. Not vindictively but "right"eously.

He should most of all be hung out to dry for wiping his feet on the constitution -- something much more sacred than any flag or fixation.

Yes. It is just "a god damn piece of paper" to him.

As the old Turkish proverb goes, "The fish begins to stink at the head." Maybe we'll need a war crimes tribunal to handle all the cases. But start with him, continue with Cheney, etc., and let's see how far we get.

Ya know, i find it funny that an "evangelical" took an oath on a bible to "protect and defend the Constitution of the USA, so help [him] God," and yet he has done anything but while calling it a "goddamn piece of paper".

I don't think you want Americas roots?

Puritanical slave nation?

Maybe you want us to embrace the original vision, then again maybe not see Jefferson, Madison, Hamilton.

Or maybe you are hoping we embrace our modern vison see Roosevelt, Hoover, and Johnson.

I am sure somewhere in these visons there is a kinder gentler America.

Trial and error is the best we can offer.

Post Nixonian we have Carter, Reagan, miniBush, Clinton and Bush.

I think we stumbled through Carter advanced through Reagan moderated through Clinton reacted through Bush.

I think we can moderate through the next administration there will be no great change.

Coming from this renowned prosecutor with his perfect 21-0 record in murder prosecutions, it is nothing to sneeze at.

Criminal and Administrative law are two very different fields.

Charlene Dennett has read Vincent Bugliosi's The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder, taken it to heart, and is running for Vermont Attorney General on the platform that she will prosecute Bush once he's out of office if elected.

Listen to Monday's interview with her on Expert Witness as you await the election returns to find out if Georgie-poo will be later indicted.

Bush won't be prosecuted. No chance.

Dream on.
