Hi....can anyone tell me some places that have cool things for an apartment.....like lamps, rugs, sheets, pillows, etc.
I like stuff that is unique, yet simple and has a nice design.
I'm not talking about really high end stuff either....kind of mid-range....or funky and cheap.
Do they have traditional dishes and stuff there like all of the beautiful ceramic stuff here in Japan??

There`s no IKEA and no Muji. Basically no sense of style here whatsoever.

I have found that anything remotely stylish is expensive. Bedding isnt bed sheets but a padded thing and then a duvet. My place isnt very fashionable at all.

Well, it looks like I'm going to have to get creative. I have to have a nice home environment and can work wonders on any dump.......what about shower curtains? I hate having a completely wet bathroom

Homeplus and Emart sell shower curtains and poles.

There's a good shop called "Poly" in Iteawon under Rockey Mountain Tavern. It's very Ikea looking.

There's Muji in Young Lotte Department store, in Myeongdong.

You can go on www.gmarket.co.kr and type in Ikea and there's lots of stuff.

Insadong has a lot of great stuff too. Even second hand shops.
There's sometimes a flea market inside the actual Dongdaemun Stadium on the weekend.

Yeah Lotte Young Plaza has one but it`s expensive. Costco might sell some stylish Western stuff...depending.

Partway down Cheonggyecheon there's an interesting and mostly unknown market called Sewoon Arcade. It's actually four buildings lined up north to south around the eastern boundary of downtown. They have a lot of lamps in that area that are cool, and probably cheaper than the major stores.
