Well, I already know the answer to that. There are many things that I had gotten accustomed to buying there that have simply disappered over the last few years. I still like to shop there, because Korean food all day every day just doesn't satisfy.

Some of the things I miss are:

green beans, black beans, guacamole, white corn tortilla chips, spinach ravioli, sliced jalapenos, etc...

What are some items that you miss that Costco once carried?

The markup lately on western goods is a whole different story. It would also be nice to buy American beef from an American company (that's not meant as a pride thing, but more as a matter of taste) .

The frozen sausage patties that tasted like McDonald's breakfast patties.

Homemade biscuit, sausage and egg sandwiches aren't the same without them.

I noticed in most stores, foreign things come and go like a T shirt for Summer. Just like warm weather, supply ceases. The logistics of this country are illogical as can be so no one is going to be able to definitely answer OP's question.

I am sure most of the items discussed above disappear simply for lack of demand not logistics. Ask your Korean friends if they eat biscuits with sausage and gravy for breakfast. You will quickly figure out what I am getting at. Costco may put something on the shelf to see if it catches on...but if it doesn't that is Kimchi shelf space going to waste.

I know why the sausage patties are gone, but I am still sad that they are gone.

I've been going there for a while and they do yank stuff quite regularly.
One of the reasons I joined up way back is that they had jalapeno potato chips. Those disappeared long ago. Other things I used to like that are gone:

frozen lasagna (Jaribali or something like that from Aus)
Cheez-its
Corn Nuts
Sunkist shelled pistachios (they still have Kirkland unshelled, but they are a pain and expensive)
Go Lean multi grain toaster waffles (my wife liked them)
Ceres juice (not mango! a delicious mix of apple, cherry and other fruits)
Soyquitos (no, I'm not vegetarian/vegan, but they were quite good)
Havarti cheese slices

I'm sure missing some, but those are some of things I used to buy there but not have been able to for a while. Just went today and they didn't have Laughing Cow cheese. I'm hoping it's just temporary.

They still sell sliced jalepenos. They used to come in glass jars. Now they are in the mammoth vendor sized cans, but the price is 6,000 won. Hell of a deal.

I think the go lean waffles went out of stock due to Maple syrup going from 17,000 won to 39,000 won.

My costco in daejeon has been stocking some new Thai soup mixes, healthy chili chips, and some other new stuff.

For the life of me, I can't figure out why they stock those "home run" frozen pizzas. They are by far the worst pizza I have ever eaten. Tasted literally like cardboard, and at 10,000 won, who would buy that garbage? Yet they get rid of the frozen lasagne at 6,000 won? Strangey.

I'm with you on the green beans and white tortilla chips! I've been here for 4.5 years, and for 3 of those years they had a steady supply of green beans. Then, all of the sudden, they disappeared! I was told to fill out a customer comment card, and that they usually get it back if you complain that it's gone. I did this, several times, and still no green beans!
They also had wheat thins one time. I really wish that they would get those back!!! I love wheat thins.
I must say though, they do tend to have the turkeys every November. Although they are extremely expensive, I generally buy one. I decided to forgo other meats this month, and just buy a turkey. The apartment smelled wonderful on Thursday, as I was roasting the turkey. YUM!

I've been really disappointed in their tiny frozen food section. Granted, I totally understand that they're really selling to the Korean population, but I was so looking forward to some western style foods in the frozen food section, and it was really slim pickings there. I haven't found too much there that excites me, but I did manage to buy a nice Ipod Touch there, which I really wanted badly, so I can't really complain. I do like the Healthy Choice soups they have, but I so wish I could find more campbell soup choices, or at least some tomato soup somewhere. And yes, for the millionth time, I'd be so grateful to see them stock Diet Dr Pepper.

It seems to me that they've been taking lots of nutritious food off of the shelves and replacing it with sugar, starch and other carb crap. If they expect me to re-new my membership, then they better get more healthy foods.

BTW, those Mexican health crackers are very nice!!
