I was feeling billious so I named myself after a sound I supposedly made while puking, after drinking way too much sambuca and beer, back in my high school days.

It seemed to fit...Dave's was particularly vomit-ridden at the time.

Mine came from a Civil War book I was reading at the time. It was this guy's last name (I can't remember if he was Union or Confederate, though).

Mine is just a french word meaning "Hope". Many years ago when I was first learning the language I thought it sounded sweet and I've stuck with it ever since.
