I have an open class that's been made clear is very important to the powers that be. It's pretty much gone from them telling me NOTHING about it and assuming I knew what to do for this special occasion to having a fairly solid "routine" down for the kids to perform in front of their parents.

The problem is my co-teacher wont follow the scripted guide that I wrote for us. He'd rather wing it with only a vague reference paid to the actual guide. I have this terrible feeling he's going to do something to Fuck up our class and I'm going to take more crap from my already over stressed out bosses. They are pretty much basing our actual ability on how this open class goes... Fun times eh?

I just thought I'd share.

Anyone else have similar experiences?

Don't sweat it. You are not on display - the KT is.

This is not about you. You are merely the walking/talking noise box / CD-player replacement.

Say your piece on que when required and enjoy the rest of the show.

I'm a 25,000$ piece of equipment. I feel especially used. Too bad the cute female K-teachers wouldn't use me more. Wink

Really... it's a joke played on your co-teacher. Last time 'we' did a demo. lesson I made sure my co-teacher had nothing to do (just like real life)... she got in trouble, not me.

I'm still waiting to implement the suggestions put forward by the provincial School Inspector... such as -

Him: "You must follow the national curriculum."

Me: "Ok, how do I find out what the national curriculum is?

I'm still waiting for an answer. Wink
