When I submit my teaching license - for work visa or jobs in Korea - and I use a copy (the state warns us not to allow the original to be mailed out) - the copy needs to be notarized - is this correct? So is the notary public at my bank valid for this notarizing? Then that copy has to be apostilled also - is this correct?

Thanks in advance.

Your teaching license only needs to be a copy.
It is NOT an immigration requirement.
It does not need an apositille.

You need to have an apostille on your criminal background check and the COPY of your bachelors degree (if you are not using the original).
Your transcripts need to be in a UNIVERSITY sealed envelope.

Doesn't Gepik and the SMOE require a copy of the teacher license to be notarized and apostilled?

To go to the higher payscale?

Am I right about this?

Your education degree should work for this. I showed them my Masters in ED and they never asked to see anything else.

Nope. Send a copy and bring the original with you in case they (your school) want to see it.

The only place that needs an apostille or notarization is the immigration office for the CRC and degree COPY (if you use the original degree then you don't need to do anything with it).
