I bought one six days ago for 200K...
Apparently there are hacks now to change the entire thing over to English. Check out this thread:
http://forums.eslcafe.com/korea/index.php
Anyhow, it's really not that difficult to get around the thing in Korean. Look at it as a chance to learn a little Korean. |

Someone posted in a wii thread about a manual in English.
I think it was for the Japanese wii, if you have no takers you could try that. Or get some Korean friends around to explain ALL the functions to you. |

Bloogoo,
I was also under the impression that the Korean Wii could not be changed to English. I did, however, come across this - http://wiird.l0nk.org/forum/index.php?topic=1392.45
Not really definitive one way or the other, but thought maybe you would be interested. |

Yes, that does seem to be more definitive. Pity, I am in the market for a Wii, but really want the menus and what not to be in English.
Since my last post I also found this- http://hackmii.com/2008/09/korean-wii/
It seems that someone is working on developing a way of changing the region, but I have no idea when that will result in anything substantial.
Good luck selling your wii! |

So, it's just the front channel screen that's in Korean? When you play English (US) games do they come out in English? |

If you burn and play an English game, the menus in the game and all the dialogue will be in English |
