Not sure if this counts, but one of my students just recommended a Chinese semi-buffet style place called China Factory.
http://www.chinafactory.co.kr
It's kind of like VIPS. You pay around 20,000 and you can order 3 main dishes from their menu. While you wait for the food, you can go to the "dim sum bar" and get all you can eat dim sum. She said the quality was good. Branches in Gangnam, Mokdong, Daehangno, Olympic Park, among others. |

Grand Hilton Seoul - formerly known as Swiss Grand - has arguably the best buffet in town.

I second the Grand Hilton as well (forgot about that one). It is very good. |

Probably the best, healthiest all-you-can-eat buffet for the money (13,000 won) is the vegetarian buffet at SM Ching hai in Yangjae.
subway - orange line 3, yangjae station, exit 5, and it's a short bus or cab ride. phone: 02-576-9637 website is in korean, but there's a good picture of it http://www.smvege.co.kr/
There also are a number of vegetarian buffets run by Seventh Day Adventists at various locations around Seoul, and most of them are around 10,000 won.
Ashoka Indian restaurant in Hamilton Hotel, Itaewon, has weekend buffets - last time I was there the price was around 25,000 won for lunch and a few thousand won more for dinner.
For 15,000 won several other "Indian" restaurants around Itaewon, including Taj Palace, also have weekend buffets.
In Insadong, there's a healthy, less elaborate vegetarian buffet for 10,000 won on the side street that runs alongside the only large pharmacy on the main drag (it's on the left side of the street and there's a "vegetarian restaurant" sign under its basement entrance awning - if I remember correctly...) |
