Dear x,
Regarding when to offer a teacher a job, it is going to be December 1st.
---------------------------------
soooo does that feckin mean
1 offering job to START 1 dec or
2 offering job on 1 dec for a later start !!
I really really really do give up in s korea
( my original email to this person is as follows :
When do you decide - time scale for new person in job please
-if they were unsure of the clarity of my question, surely it
made little difference and \they should have stated their answer muchee
better?[/i] |
Clear as day to me. Read the bold. Not the best English, but very understandable in that they will start looking for a teacher Dec. 1. Even if it was less clear, since it's getting towards the end of the semester, with a little logic, you could arrive at the conclusion that they will being their teacher search then.
Perhaps you should be looking for kindy jobs instead. |

What the hell kind of question was that? Your question makes no sense. It doesn't even have a question mark. I can see why the assistant director has the Phd and you don't ^^
If you do get a job there, maybe they'll let you audit a Basic Composition class if you ask nicely. |

As I understand from what little was pasted, PhD's answer is to announce employment decisions to applicants on December 1.
As Hyeon Een noted, the partial question you provided to PhD was incomplete; and, if you don't mind me saying so, it comes across as rude or inappropriate given the formal context. If I were PhD, thumbing through resumes and responding to email inquiries, you would have blown any opportunity at a job. Your resume would would have headed to the circular file. |

VS.
When do you decide - time scale for new person in job please
hmm....I can understand the first sentence but they are equally awkward. |

I'm pretty confident the OP's native language is not English. |

Yeah. WTF. The OP's posting seems to be roughly a random collection of English words. And he's trying to get a uni position? |

To be fair, I've known university staffers with far worse grammar, spelling and compositional skills than this guy. |

I think you were drunk when you emailed the professor, drunk when you received the reply, and drunk when you posted this thread. Am I right? =)
