This is mostly for the ladies, unless you men can offer some good products Smile

Could someone give a run-down of some of the stuff they sell?

Also, if you can recommend some good or favorite products, please do!

Er, what do you mean? They have tons of stuff--makeup, skincare, shaving, snacks, diet thingymabobs, sunscreen, hair dye, false eyelashes, toothpaste, sanitary napkins/tampons, etc. Anything particular you had in mind?

Olive Young has a lot of products in one store for convenience. They have products like LaNeige, Mamonde, Etude, Mabelline, etc, and lots of hair products.

I usually go there for Veet waxing strips and hair care stuff. As someone mentioned, they also have snacks, and some decent ones. Olive Young is great.

I walked into one at night by mistake, thought it was just a regular convenience store. Surrounded by young nubiles buying hair products (no over-30 women allowed, I gather) it didn't take long to realise I wasn't going to score my smokes & Asahi Super Dry there. What happens when these chicks hit 30? They go to Olive Ajuma then? Later, Olive Granny?

So, would the Olive Young retail approach work in the West, d'ya think? Don't young Western chicks want a young-chicks-only convenience store chain? Why not?

Olive Young sells Tim Tams!

They're an Australian biscuit. They taste quite good. Better than the Korean tat or American crap like Oreos.

Molly, we had another thread where everyone listed their favourite beauty products a month or two ago.... can't remember the name.

I like Olive Young, they have cool Japanese products, cheap face masks (1,000-2,000 each), a decent selection of shampoo (i love L'oral Elseve!!), a huge selection of make-up (i never buy it there though) and just everything a girl needs in terms of beauty.

I also have a new found love for The Face Shop. I'm on a tight beauty budget lately, but this store has a lot of amazing things for soo, soo cheap: I'm loving the make-up removing sheets, the face cleanser, the nail files, and the mint shampoo. Everything smells so good and fresh.

Olive Young is like a Walgreens or Osco where I'm from, but only as far as beauty aides. They do carry a lot of Japanese products. Mostly mid-level and cheaper products. The high-level beauty stuff is sold in dept. stores. I get Opti-Free contact lens solution there at a good bundle price sometimes.

Try asking around an optical store (안경점), they should have it. Several around where I live has 'em. Not sure about Olive Young stores having them in stock these days..

are you talking about the gel that you glop on your hands and rub to sanitise your hands? It's called '플루(flu? Flue?)' in Korea, you can order it over the internet really cheap.
