Does anyone know of any reputable boarding schools in Seoul? My little brother is 13 and has just left his boarding school in America. He was there for five months and was being seriously bullied. Other students were urinating on his belongings. He complained to the staff there and they ignored him. Then he got beat up for complaining. Then the staff took away his internet and phone so he couldn't tell the family.
So anyways he needs a new school. Our parents work with the US State Department and currently live in Costa Rica for the next two years. The school there are pretty bad.
Anyways if anyone can provide some names and hopefully links to some decent boarding schools it would be much appreiciated.

There is a thread going on about international schools right now that lists quite a few. The top international schools in Korea are:
Seoul International School
Seoul Foreign School
Yongsan International School
Korea International School

You would need to check out the school websites to see if any of them do boarding.

There are also some psuedo-international schools in Korea that do have accreditation, but are mostly Korean students and don't pay the teachers well. I am positive that some of those schools have boarding facilities because they are not in Seoul. (I once interviewed at the international school in Gwangju and I know they had boarding.)

If I were you, I'd call Seoul Foreign School first. They are the school that most of the US diplomats kids attend. I'm not sure if they have boarding, but they can probably direct you to someone who does if they don't. Alternatively, you may be able to get a homestay set up for him with one of the local students if he'd like to come here because you are here.

If I were you, I would phone the admissions offices of the 4 schools above and talk with them about your brother and his situation. Korean international schools are always looking for more native-speaking students.

Edit: With a wiki search I found this school in Suwon

Not in Seoul, but it is a western-accredited international school with a boarding option.

Thanks,
If anyone knows of any good ones elsewhere that would be useful too.
I'm kind of hoping to hear from someone that has had direct contact with a boarding school, being either a student or a teacher.
If you know some to stay away from go ahead and share those too. We hate to make the same mistake twice.
