Would you work for this School in Korea?
I copied & pasted these work conditions from the jobs board:
"Holidays : It is Holiday if except teaching of English period doing to English camp and a student and teachers during vacation period."
WTF?
Also
"Note : Couples are welcomed to apply.
(Employ a person that couple works by all teacher of Englishes.)"
Is it too much to ask to have job ads for ENGLISH teachers, written in comprehensible ENGLISH!!
I suppose some dip s**t would lose face by asking a native speaker to write or at least edit it... I can just imagine.. "I English speak very good, I write advertisement!!"
Is it any wonder misunderstanding occur?

I kind of like it. It makes me feel smart. Also, it's not initmidating in the slightest such as when applying for teaching jobs back in NY. Here you have the upper hand with somebody like that. Back home you're just another maggot until you can prove otherwise. |
