| Anyone running this? What's it like? How long are you able to run the Beta? What happens after you run out of time with the Beta? Do you have to reinstall Vista or XP again, and lose everything? |

I tried window7 beta and noticed some good feature compare to vista. Time for beta is 30 days but you can lengthen it with some searching on internet . I wanted to make it my main OS but it got Blue screen of death right after I installed driver for my Microsoft Livecam (that's weird! it's microsoft's hardware!!!!). So I returned to vista but left window7 on other partition (and try to install my webcam driver again sometime ^^) |

I tried the beta version on my secondary PC but had to take it off as the driver support was pretty skimpy.
ATI has only just released their drivers for it in the last few days.
It looked good. But pretty close to Vista........
........I'll try it again in a few months..... |

So can you try it if you just have XP?
Does it revert to your previous installations with no problems? Do you have to reinstall everything again when you get into Windows 7, or when you go back to whatever? |

I've always just clean installed any version of Windows I've used. Start from scratch. Less issues that way. You can go to or from any version of Windows if you clean install........of course you can keep all your data (video/music/photos) safe on the non-Windows partition. |
