I can help you out, but first I'll need you to wire $5,000 to my account. When you arrive at the airport, I'll refund the money and take you to your new, 2 bedroom, 60 pyung apartment in Apgujeong.

HAHAHA - how do you feel OP?

If you have never been to Korea then you don't know the ropes - those jobs are sought after and far and few between.

You may get lucky and land one of those jobs yourself but to be honest, I don't like your chances.

You really need to get into the country and make some connections to have any show at these jobs.

If you have a PhD or some kind of specialist qualification in marketing or something you might have a chance from out of the country.

FYI I actually see one of the top officials in LG every week. He used to be the CHO. However, why should I pass your info on? I'd do it as a favor for him.

You must first sign up for a brief time, possibly one year, of professional development in a program know as "Wonderland." Wonderland will be responsible for your initial flight and accommodation. Then you will be guaranteed a very lucrative position in on of the companies you have mentioned.

The OP clearly has not done his research on the way hiring works in asia...first you need an in...by "in" I mean a korean friend...There is a korean guy in the states who owns a computer store in Naperville....He's gay, flirt with him and get on his good side...he'll eventually refer you to a guy who works for samsung...he's pretty high up there...after doing some "favors" for him...you should be able to squeeze yourself into a good corporate english teaching position.

Well my post was serious. I do actually have the ability to put a resume on the lap of a guy in LG who is just one step below the CEO. If you have skills of the calibre that he'd thank me for giving your resume and fly out himself to interview you, I'd even do so. If on the other hand you have a regular ESL background then forget it. These companies can easily pick and choose from in country.

the guy can't even help himself out in this situation. i also work(ed) for LG and additional major corporations, but would never throw out a line to someone too lazy to stand on their own. i'm hoping he was just having a bit of fun with his post. if not, he certainly won't go far in this market.

hi

what's pagoda?

The guy who says on here he can help me, then how can I get in contact? I need 25 posts on here first.

The other guy who says why should he, well I have had problems here in the UK and really need work asap. It's not that I can't find my own jobs, but I am stuck here in the UK with no cash at the moment. Theres no jobs going here now coz of the credit crunch.

I just have the Cambridge CELTA I am afraid, but I can't see why one would need a Master's degree or PhD to teach corporate English. You don't anywhere else. I have a british degree too.

Sorry, I forgot to say that I do have experience of teaching at university standard in the Middle East and I have also taught at Mitsubishi Corporation in Japan. perhaps this would make them a little more interested, I don't know.
