You know those guys who walk around with boom boxes in the subway cars and blast the same song: "Over and over and over again.... over and over and over again..."

It's really quite good! A full 8 discs of tunes. Some of the older songs were obviously dubbed from LP's, but there are a lot of really great tunes on there. I was planning on sending a copy to my parents to play during card club nights. They'll probably get a kick out of the odd Turkish or filipino song thrown in the mix next to Proud Mary. Laughing

Yeah, those are high quality discs they burn them on too. Wonder how many plays your paents will get out of em till they start jsueuhuh3uhbhu3duubhu3hdu3.......

If the disk quality is anything like those for sale on the street in Bangkok, Pattaya, and Phuket, you better upload it on a computer as it might only play once or wear out pretty quick. The quality is inconsistent where most disks play at least once, some will play more, and some won't play one time. Those disks are intended for uploading on IPODs rather than using CD player for listening.

The dyes used in optical media will all degrade with time.

Even a top brand name could use a dye that is inferior. Likewise, a cheap off rband could be using duperior dyes.

You just never really know.

That's awesome- I've always wondered if anyone ever bought those subway CDs. Now I can go back home to Canada knowing that yes, someone did.

I occasionally see someone buy them, but they don't look none to bright. I always assumed they were working w/ the seller trying to make it look as if somebody would actually be interested. Laughing

I bought the collection maybe 2 years ago. I bought it because it came with a book that contained all the lyrics to the sounds in English AND Korean.

It was well worth the money. I used if for an after school class.

I bought around 4 sets 2 years ago. I gave them to my aunt, grandmother, mother and uncle. Everyone loved them, and as far as I know, the quality is holding up well. It turned out to be one of the best gifts I've given them in terms of usage and enjoyment! The Korean knick-knacks are relegated to the back of a cabinet or shelf, collecting dust.

It's always kind of cool to stumble on a huge collection of someone else's music and see what's what. The problem with music downloading is you first start downloading every song you ever wanted but eventually you reach that point where you've got about all the song you could possibly want. But you still want more music. So you start to spend a lot of time just trying to find one or two songs to want.
