I don't feel like paying 50,000 to get to Incheon airport Christmas morning. I see a line to the airport on the subway map, but is it really that easy? How reliable should I consider it to be? |

It's easy to do and it doesn't get very crowded. |

If you live near Gimpo you can take the express to Incheon. Otherwise, grab a subway map out of Groove magazine or somewhere. |

Does the subway really go all the way to the airport?
I usually take the 'Airport Limousine'. Don't let the name fool you, it's only a regular bus. It costs 9,000 from where I am (North East of Seoul), and around 90 minutes. |

Yes. If you look far left on the subway map...light blue line. They didn't write incheon airport there to look fashionable. |

Ah that sucks- someone (a Korean, too) once told me it didn't go all the way so I never bothered double-checking. |

The last stop is named "Incheon International Airport." |

I'm not sure, but maybe an hour? The best thing about it is the cost savings, plus, if anyone gets on one of those "Express buses" during rush hour (morning or night) to or from the airport, expect to get stuck in traffic. |

That's awesome- thanks for the info. I have a friend from home visiting soon, so that will save us a lot of trouble and money. |

The train from Kimpo to Incheon isn't really part of the subway. It's an Airport Express train that just opened up in the last couple years.

From Kimpo to Incheon is about half an hour and 3,100 won. That would be on top of the fare to get to Gimpo. Still cheaper than an airport limo bus, but I couldn't be bothered with the luggage/train transfer hassles. |

No problem. I've used it a couple of times and you'll be pleasantly surprised how convenient it is. When you leave the exit, at the airport, walk to the left and use the big up escalator and you'll be smack dab in the middle of the terminal.
Also, because people just don't seem to know much about it, it's almost never crowded. |

Personally, I like taking the AREX from Gimpo to Incheon. It's about a 45 min. ride (if the car looks like a subway) or a 30 min. ride on the rapid (if it looks like a train on the inside).
