I have an LG Cyon slide phone. I bought a USB that connects to my cell phone from Dream Depot. I bought it for transferring photos to my laptop.

I didn't opt to buy one from LG because the last time I was there it was expensive. Windows Vista can't locate the device and therefore did not install it. Is there a way to get this to work? I couldn't find a menu on my phone for transferring photos.

Did you get any software with the phone? When I bought my Cyon, I think there was a wee CD or something and it had the program called "LGT Mobile Manager". It's only for converting MP3s though, I don't think you need it for photos, but...

If not CD, check out http://sync.cyon.co.kr - that should let you download stuff.

To connect to the computer, I go to the Multimedia menu and select "Portable Disk". You should be able to do this without the Mobile Manager thing.

Transferring photos is a breeze, usually just plug in and copy across. Sometimes theres a problem that causes it to crash when you try to access the portable disk. If this happens, just stick in a Micro SD card and copy the photos there. Then you can access that via the USB cable same as your "Portable Disk".

Good luck...and if you ever find a way to make songs into ringtones, let me know. My old phone in Korea, a motorola, it was easy to put on an MP3 and choose it at your ringtone, but I can't find a way to do it on Cyon.
