I live in the US now and like wearing gold jewelry - I have a necklace, a bracelet, and a ring. In the US such things are worn by men of all ages, races, and sexual orientations.

What would it mean in Korea?

Gold is tacky. I draw the line at wedding rings and specie. Anything else makes you look like Mr. T's poor cousin.

Sometimes I dream that I'm Mr. T

n my dreams I imagine myself blinged out from my massively muscular chest to my ridiculously thick neck. Every inch is full of gold. Gold gold gold.

Then I wake up and I'm the OP and once upon a time a *beep* bought me a ring and I saved up to buy a tacky 'gold' necklace and maybe I bought a bracelet too. I look like a pimp in Delaware (but I'm not, I just pretend to be)

Can I get a job that pays 2.20567 million a month? I'm a pimp dog. And when I say 'pimp' I mean that there's a caddy on bricks in my mother's yard and I almost understand what a 'rock' is.

Peace.

Out.

Any bling will fly in Korea. They'd love to see us all dressed up to the 9's, but fact is, most of us are very casual and live a simple dressed down modest practical lifestyle instead of being fancy smancy pants.

They don't seem so overtly judgemental over here like Americans can be about small trivial things such as an earring or if your clothes match.
