				| With any luck Ill be making the transition from Hagwon life to Uni life in a couple of months. There are mixed feelings:
10 Things I wont miss about Hagwons

1.N-n-n-no block vacation just the odd long weekend.
2.Badly behaved and sometimes rude, spoiled kids.
3.No respect or feeling of being at all valued.Might as well be 20 years old with no exp. and only a BA (in Geography...)
 4.Interference in teaching methodology.
 5.Ajoshi hagwon bosses.
6.Having to teach 4 hours straight without a break.
 7.Not done till 1030pm
8.Being unavailable for any week day evening appointments.
 9.Kids moms.
 10. Tiny teachers' room

10 Things Ill miss about hagwons

1, The apartment size and location.
 2. Funny kids!
 3. Desk staff.
 4. No fixed curriculum.
 5. Just a couple of NSTs
 6. No early starts.
 7. Order in meals.
 8. Very casual dress code.
 9. Small class sizes
 10. Generally nice atmosphere

 | wow... I haven't had any of those problems. With some good classroom management skills and some balls one could prevent those from becoming a problem. Grow some.

	  | 6.Having to teach 4 hours straight without a break. | One of the best parts of hagwon life: in and out, short work day, just refuse split shift jobs.

	  | 7.Not done till 1030pm | rough! 3pm-9pm is about as bad as any newbie should ever take.

	  | 10. Tiny teachers' room | It only functions as photocopy central and place to hunch over a desk in quick prep. Go to public schools or uni to get deskwarming office hours and big places to do it in.

 Good luck whatever.

				| What I miss about hagwons - independent classroom climate control! No stupid front door open when it is freezing. | |

				| OP you aren't going to a uni job. Stop kidding yourself and keep living the high life at your hakwon. | |

				| What an upbeat bunch at Dave's. The OP's hagwon sounds a lot like many other hagwons. You shouldn't be in one of them for more than a year, but it's not like they are uncommon. | |

				| What I miss about hagwon life:
 - Several really nice K-girl co-workers.
 - One FT who was interesting to chat with.
 - A gym in the same building.
 - About a dozen or so really nice middle school kids.
 - Three or four really nice elementary girls and one elementary boy.
 - Not caring if I F-ed up.
 - Screwing around with management.

Considering the advantages I'm surprised I even lasted half a year. I won't bother listing what I disliked because most of you wouldn't have time to read it all.

Some hagwons are so convenient. Mine has dentist, bank, doctor and restaurant in the same complex. Unlike my school that barely has an ATm within walking distance.

It's a hogwon, so once you leave, don't look back.
