From the Alaska Ear:
| Quote: |
| NOTE ... From an earwig: Former legislator Katie Hurley, an enduring Democrat, celebrated Thanksgiving with her children and grandchildren in Anchorage this year. "A turkey from the now very famous Triple D Farm was brought into town. Upon unwrapping, it was discovered that one entire wing of the all natural bird was missing. Grumbling followed, "until everyone realized it was the right wing." |

Note: Katie Hurley lives in Wasilla, and is a model of sanity, good sense, and decency, unlike another politician from Wasilla.

The woman was down in Georgia all day yesterday "campaigning" for the Republican senator who unseated a true American hero Max Cleland six years ago, a triple Vietnam Viet amputee, who in the Karl Rove spectrum of politics was Swift Boated. This party has no shame. Of course Sarah was there for the window decorating and those Southern women hordes loved her. Thank God, they are not of the general electorate.
Today when Ms. Palin just still happened to be be around for the governor's meeting (where Mr. President Elect did his bit), she had the temerity to still bitch about the economy -- her wordage made no sense -- and "Lady", the President-Elect will make sure your state gets no state funding. First, you call him a man who "pals around with terrorists", and you still can't let it go. Now apparently, Ms. Palin is trying to run against in 2010 the sitting Republican sitting Senator, a woman I might add who is highly pissed. Ms. Palin is a beauty queen, and a very lucky woman who I think should enjoy what she's got -- five kids, one pregnant at the ripe age of 17, a Down Syndrome child -- it just gets better. She also has a state that is trying to survive on oil that is only $49.00 a barrel as we speak. Her state needs about $75, and no more Ted Stevens to be sending earmarks. She has a lot of work, and she's such a disappointment in my mind with John McCain. I expected better. But then, I don't think the RNC had any faith with him. Not complaining, in that I threw my lot with Obama when I returned from a 3 year sojurn in UK, but I respect Senator McCain. I don't know what he was thinking. How could women think Palin could be a replacement for Senator Clinton. Who knows? Senator Clinton is going to stare anyone down I think as our next Secretary of State. I'm hopeful for a good four to eight years as being proud to being an American. To be on American soil when Senator Obama was declared the winner of this election the proudest of my moment as a citizen.
This quote is not mine, but a young woman who teaches in South Korea who wrote, "SP is a judgmental little anti-feminist creationist book burning greeen-as-*beep* Evangelical nutjob. That worked for me. |

Things just keep getting better and better for Sarah Palin.
The Republican vice-presidential nominee had a tough time on the campaign trail, where her initial burst of popularity quickly dissolved as her inexperience showed through.
She got back to Alaska just in time to look silly when she was shown on TV "pardoning" a Thanksgiving turkey even as less fortunate birds were stuffed into a killing machine behind her.
Now this: The Anchorage Daily News reports that Sherry L. Johnston, mother of Levi, the 18-year-old who is marrying Palin's daughter Bristol, was arrested on drug charges: six felony counts of misconduct involving a controlled substance.
The timing is great: a week before Christmas and one day before Bristol is due to give birth.
"Troopers charged Johnston with second-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance -- generally manufacturing or delivering drugs -- as well as fourth-degree misconduct involving controlled substances, or possession," according to the Daily News. |

What do you think of Caroline Kennedy for Hillary Clinton's Senate seat?
I know you will be honest. |

And Jimmy Carter had to deal with his brother, Billy.
And Bill Clinton had to deal with his brother, Roger.
If Sarah Palin provided the drugs, THAT would be an issue, but this is silly.

Todd Palin's half sister is arrested for burglary
GIRL WAS WITH HER: Homeowner hit twice was waiting with gun.

WASILLA -- Todd Palin's half-sister was arrested Thursday after police say she broke into a Wasilla home to steal money for the second time this week but ended up getting caught by the armed homeowner. The woman's 4-year-old daughter was nearby, police said.
Todd Palin is Gov. Sarah Palin's husband. He referred questions to a spokeswoman for the governor, who said the family would have no comment.
Police arrested 35-year-old Diana Palin at a house on West Mill Site Circle near Wasilla's Multi-Use Sports Complex.
Homeowner Theodore Turcott told police an unfamiliar gray 1993 Toyota Camry pulled into his driveway Thursday morning, according to a affidavit filed Friday at the Palmer courthouse. Turcott told police he'd been burglarized twice recently: Someone stole $2,200 on March 26, leaving $400 behind, and after another apparent break-in Tuesday, all but $9 was gone.
So, Turcott told police, when he didn't recognize the woman getting out of the Camry, he grabbed a gun and hid in the bathroom to see what would happen, said Wasilla police Deputy Chief Greg Wood.
Palin made straight for the bedroom cabinet where Turcott kept his cash, Wood said.
Turcott confronted her, detaining her until police arrived, he said.
But before officers got there, Palin's 4-year-old daughter came into the house, the prosecutor handling the case said during a Palmer District Court hearing Friday.
"There was a significant safety issue regarding this 4-year-old child," prosecutor Mike Walsh told Judge John Wolfe.

I'm reiterating the question: Think the outlaws..whoops I mean inlaws will be invited over for Christmas?
At this rate there won't be any non-felonious family left to invite over.
I'm starting to think the term "Hillbillies from Wasilla" was spot-on.
Stay tuned for the Tyra Banks show!
http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/thedishrag/2009/04/levi-johnston-tells-tyra-banks-sarah-palin-knew-he-and-bristol-palin-were-having-sex.html
Nothing is ever her fault dontcha know:
When it comes to taking responsibility for her failures, Sarah Palin is George W. Bush with lipstick; nothing is ever her fault.
Troopergate was her brother-in-law's fault. Walt Monegan was a rogue commissioner. Her pro-Pebble Mine stance during a contentious election was the fault of a "Governor's hat" wardrobe malfunction. Her criticisms when her witch hunting, governor-anointing pastor, Pastor Muthee, was exposed, were the fault of people who hate Jesus. Her failed interviews were Katie Couric's and Charlie Gibson's fault. Her exorbitant wardrobe was the RNC's fault. Her charging the state per diem to sleep in her own bed and flying her family around the country at state expense weren't her fault. Her daughter's problems are Levi's fault. Her VP political loss was John McCain's fault. Her image problems are Tina Fey's fault. Turkeygate was the cameraman's fault. Her policy on aerial wolf hunting was Ashley Judd's and Outsiders' fault. The empty Juneau Senate seat wasn't on her, it was the Senate Democrats' fault.
Whose fault was it that W.A.R. was rejected?
Whose fault was it that your bills failed in Juneau?
Whose fault was it that you didn't sign SB89 supporting WWII troops?
Whose fault was it rural Alaska was damn near starving this winter?
The Alaska bloggers?
No, Governor Palin, your losses are your fault
