| Seeing homeless people on the streets in the prairies when temperatures reach -40. Winnipeg is the worst. Lots of homeless people there have lost limbs or simply frozen to death. Toronto is terrible too. I remember seeing a women whose bed was the sidewalk sleeping in -25 weather. It's horrible. |
I've wondered about that, actually. The homeless sleeping on grates in Atlanta in the winter gives one shudders, but, from one who spent a couple of winters in Minot, ND, the thought of spending the winter out-of-doors in those parts is disturbing indeed.
Has anyone seen the movie The Day After Tomorrow? Anyone wonder what happened to Canada? |
I think Dennis Quaid saved them in the sequel. |

Every single one of them froze their peckers off. They didn't even get a mention in the movie. Canada could cease to exist and nobody would notice for a week. |

| OR! They conjured the storm themselves, and they've sorted a way to survive the cold themselves thanks to the Inuit. Then, they'd have the whole continent to club baby seals! Clearly, that is the meaning of life. |

Let's be honest. The whole world outside of the U.S. could cease to exist and Americans would fail to notice. But if Hardees stopped serving white gravy, there would be riots in the streets. |

Yup. When I worked for Nextel, I discovered that a disturbingly high number of Americans didn't know where/what Canada is. |
