I never claimed I was the trendiest girl around or something! I just love fashion, read tons of magazines and know random stuff. The OP just happened to mention me because I mostly post about fashion/shopping on this forum.
But no, sorry, I'm not posting pictures of myself all over Dave's

For guys,
What fashion works here?
I find myself highly limited to glitter suits and the young school boy look.
The men's casual bothers me as it's either mad street ghetto or too metro.
The gap is just too expensive and I haven't seen anything like banna republic yet. |

Dark jeans, shirt, polos, hooded sweaters, plaid shirts... try going to Uniqlo, it's between casual and dressed-for-work, and very affordable. |

Uniqlo strikes me as a bit metro for my tastes.
But I like the turtle necks.... I'll check it out again.
Is there really nothing for mature looks? Nothing like BR? |

Yes there's BR but you'll pay a fortune, it's way overpriced here.
Try Zara, the prices are similar, and it's quite sophisticated. |

Zara? Ok maybe I'm mistaken but I thought that was a jewelry store?
Maybe I'm getting it confused with something else. Ok I'll check it out. Hows the price range for Zara? |

No, Zara is a Spanish chain, I think you should take a look. They have one location in Myeong Dong and another one at Coex. Definitely worth a visit, very BR-style, a bit more grown up than Uniqlo.
The prices are probably between the Gap and BR back home, so it's affordable. |

Cologne?
For men I like Chanel (Allure for Men).
Banana Republic also makes a nice smelling men's cologne.
I like woodsy smells. The trick is to only wear a tiny bit, it drives women mad. |
