What is with the idea of a Models night at clubs and bars?
Are such nights intended to encourage the models to come in and spend there hard earned money? Or is it a simple way to almost prostitute the international (and I think very young) models out.
I'm sure some of you have seen crews of young models at local Seoul nightspots such as Spy, Answer, Circle and now Eden. They get free cover to enter these places, stay long enough to drink the free tequila etc, and then they are off to the next one. What benefit does such a promotion create?
I just don't see the logic in this kind of event. They don't spend money, they don't add anything to the environment and they probably are underage (or damn close to it)........(unless that is your thing).
Doesn't it make more sense to throw events and make VIP's those who frequent your establishments and spend money? Really, why doesn't somewhere try to make a Teachers night? If you gave a discount, or offered free cover, I'm sure the clubs/bars would make tons of cash from the bar because they enjoy the environment/ music etc. Just a thought.
I mention this, because (laughably) is was emailed an invitation to one of these events. Do Koreans really eat this kind of stuff up? Maybe someone from a business/ bar perspective can explain it to me. |

They attract more customers. The hottest club is basically equal to the place that has the best girls and cool people, as the club scene is based on trends.
Often they don't get free drinks from the clubs, men buy them drinks, which still benefits the establishment. |

Perhaps the concept of ladies nights is something you find difficult to understand.....the concept of one featuring models as opposed to regular girls can be mind boggling...but keep thinking and you'll figure it out.
They have clubs aimed at foreign teachers...even clubs that allow us in for free....the problem is 90% of these clubs are filled with guys and the few girls are with they're boyfriend....and that rest...well let's just say Dave's is right on the money when making fun of foreigner women...I've seen a few cuties and hotties....and a hell of alot of stuff I wouldn't touch.
If I wanted to go hang out with a bunch of guys and ugly girls, I'd go to a gay club....at least they're a blast to be around. |

Off topic, but my experience has been that gay clubs have a lot of cute girls with their guards down, and less male competition. |

Wow, stupid question. Why do you think celebrities/models are allowed free entrance and free drinks, b/c people will go. Same concept as ladies night, more ladies means more men. Wow, this is really a stupid question.
There is no foreign teacher night b/c were ugly mofos |

It's because the club owners get blowjobs out of it.

The Hard Rock Cafe in Itaewon was once a club named...whatever, i forget it's name. Anyway, that place had "foreigner night" which meant you get free drinks for most of if not all of the night. I went once. The bartenders seemed to hate everyone there. |

Cuz women make men spend money. I bartended at a Hyatt next to a convention center for two years, and my tips would shoot up 30% when we'd get models in, to say nothing of the beer sales. |

Well, they have their guards down compared to being in a regular club and offered a drink by a tonne of drunk slobs already. Usually the girls who have a lot of men approach them like that are ready to dismiss anyone right away.
I dunno if I'm predatory. I just like to be able to start a conversation with women. Call that predatory if you like; I just view it as being able to meet someone new. I find it pretty fun and exciting. |

Hot girls don't add anything to the enviorment? I beg to differ. Even if you don't have a chance with, getting drunk around good looking girls beats the alternatives. |

In a bar
All ugly girls look ordinary
All ordinary girls look nice
All nice girls look smoky hot
Panda still looks like a panda.
Dont fool yourself, models have legs but nothing. |

I've met quite a few attractive (exterior only) American women who'd brag about getting free drinks. It was always the same thing. You're at work on Friday, and there's some girl who'd have to say, "I'm going drinking tonight. I've NEVER had to buy my own drinks." It's cool to be proud of yourself if you're a good musician/writer/painter/whatever, but taking pride in yourself for the ability to get free drinks, kind of weird. Maybe it was just a factory thing. |
