I met this girl about a month ago. Well about 2 months ago. We really hit it off quickly. Now I'm leaving for Canada for 9 days, and she's very distant and cold with me. Sometimes she can make me feel amazing, and other times she makes me feel like she doesn't care about me.
She told me that she might forget about me after the first few days. I wouldn't normally care, but I really think I love this girl. I go out of my way for her all the time. I spend money I don't have, and I give her time that I can't afford.
She told me 2 days ago that she doesn't want to see me until I get back (January 4th) because she doesn't want to miss me. Does that make sense?
Before I get the usual 'she's got someone else', I truly believe she doesn't. We wouldn't have hung out as much as we do if she had someone else.
I will wait to see what happens when I get back, but I feel she's ruined my holiday because I'll worry about what she's doing the whole time while I'm gone.
So much for being a nice guy. |

She making you feel guilty for leaving her for...OMG!!! 9 days!?!? Seriously...have fun in Canada and don't even worry about her. I wouldn't let a chick I just met a month or two ago ruin my vacation |

| I've met girls like that before. Do you like that kind of stuff? I always considered those girls kind of nuts. Anyways, shes just trying to get you to do whatever she wants, and have full control over you. if your all for that, then good luck. On a positive note, if you don't do everything she wants, it won't change anything, and your relationship will probably stay the same. Theres no need to be jumping through hoops. Personally I would just avoid girls like that, they cause too much headache for no good reason. And oh yeah, most likely her personality won't change and she'll remain that way for as long as you'll know her. |

As for the OP: welcome to the world of Korean relationships! To be fair, a part of it is her probably insulating herself because she thinks you won't come back. If and when you do come back, get ready for great make-up booty. |

I've studied psychology for 4 years and I've learned about reward patterns. It works like this... If you know the girl will always love you no matter what, the 'reward' is always there, and you get bored, because you know it's reliable.
But, when the reward is spontaneous, it keeps you hooked. It's kind of like a heroin addict chasing the dragon.
We'll see what happens after I get back. I'm just so upset about this crap, 2 days before I leave and have very little contact with her for 9 days. |
