What's being billed as the "ultimate event of the year", UFC 92 features three top main events:

Forrest Griffin vs Rashad Evans

Antonio "Minotauro" Nogueira vs Frank Mir

Wanderlei "The Axe Murderer" Silva vs Quentin "Rampage" Jackson

There are several other good matches on the packed card - which should begin live around 9am Sunday, Korea time (but the delayed broadcast on the SuperAction channel is usually shown a couple hours later...)
www.ufc.com/index.cfm?fa=eventDetail.FightCard&eid=1782

The Griffin - Evans match is hard to predict because Rashad, fresh off a stunning KO of Chuck Liddell, has a lot of weapons and is still undefeated in UFC, while Griffin showed he can take a big punch and do whatever it takes to win in his last bout against Quenton Jackson.

I think Griffin might prevail in a very close decision.

Hardly anyone gives Mir a chance against Nogueira, but it's always possible that the latter warrior could "get old fast" and run out of gas.

I doubt it, though - Nogueira will probably stop him in the 3rd round.

The most anticipated fight is the genuine bad blood match-up between "The Axe Murderer" Silva and "Rampage" Jackson.

Silva, using mainly his knees, won by KO in two explosive encounters they had in "Pride" a few years ago.

That they really do dislike each other is evident in this clip, which gives a run-down of their history...

Fans of "Rampage" can make the case that he's improved since his "Pride" days and should win if he fights with a smarter game plan.

However, the bad blood factor problably rules out a careful strategy, and Jackson's bizarre "hit and run" incident shortly after losing to Griffin seems to give a big mental edge to Silva, who looked sharp in destroying the "Dean of Mean" Keith Jardine, after a couple sub-par performances.

Most experts are leaning toward Silva, I think. They're probably right, but I'll be rooting for "Rampage" so I won't pick against him...

I love that UFC is free in Korea. I watched Brock Lesnar's title win last month on SuperAction, and I had a blast.

I always cheer for Rampage.

a) i am basically an alcoholic at this point

b) i have very little experience with torrents

c) the pc bangs near my home are filled with incredibly loud and annoying kids on the weekends - and i'd much rather spend an afternoon chilling out in a nice bar than surrounded by that madness

--------------------------------------------------

i guess i should apologize to the op for unwittingly highjacking his thread. to make up for that, here are my picks for the fights:

Forrest Griffin vs Rashad Evans
--> griffin by decision (though i think evans is the more skilled fighter)

Antonio "Minotauro" Nogueira vs Frank Mir
--> nogueira by decision

Wanderlei "The Axe Murderer" Silva vs Quentin "Rampage" Jackson
--> out of sheer hope, i'm going to say jackson by decision - though he hasn't looked too sharp lately and silva's always seemed to have his number in the past

note: boring picks...but what can ya do? Confused

I would think that any sports bar in Itaewon that's open for lunch would probably be showing it - as long as there's not a hockey, rugby, or soccer game on at the same time.

Since in Itaewon all the bar owners can communicate in English you could try calling a couple - like Rocky Mountain Tavern and Hollywood - and ask if they'll be showing it or can refer you to another place.

Here's a list of Itaewon bars -

I usually prefer watching on internet to hear the English commentators, but sometimes I'll stay in a motel the night before to watch UFC events on a big-screen TV (and they often let me to check out an hour later without charging extra)

Frankly Mr. Shankly talked about the Wolfhound opening it's doors and channels to the last fight. Maybe he can work something out this time around.

Well, I watched it on big screen TV at a hotel and saw "Rampage" get his revenge with a one-punch KO - a devastating left hook (followed by a few punches to Silva's head after the former Pride champ was down and already out, I think...)

The other main events both ended in punch-induced TKOs.

In a major upset, Frank Mir, used his reach advantage and kept landing big straight punches and uppercuts on "Minotauro" Nogueira's face till the veteran warrior was pretty much pounded into submission.

The most competitive featured bout saw Rashad Evans end Forest Griffin's short title rein with a take down and some brutal ground and pound after the popular Griffin had more than held his own in the first two rounds.

Does anyone know of a place where people get together to watch UFC? I don't know anyone in Korea who watches it. I'm SO amped for the GSP Penn fight later this month.
