I tried to give advide on this before but was flamed by someone and have given up. Some people always know better |
I think I'm going to get a notary regardless...better to be safe than sorry. |

This morning i got my CRB back with an apostille and i personally didn't get it notarised before i sent it off to apostille.org.
i'm not entirely sure but i believe as part of their process they do the notarising, hence why the cost of �27 for the apostille shoots up to �64 in total. took 5 days and is a decent option for people like me who can't easily get to milton keynes without it costing more than this process.
i was gonna go through the FCO but at the time of reading their site, they were 2 weeks behind in opening all their post which was a bit worrying as i needed it asap |

I went to the utopia that is Milton Keynes today and got both my Basic Disclosure and a photocopy of my degree notarized and legalised/apostilled.
Notarization - �5 per document at the criminal solicitors next door to the FCO. They're called Cartwright Clarke.
Apostille - �27 per document at the FCO, done within 30 minutes. |

Degree certificate? ....notarise a photocopy of the original degree? Then send it where?
transcript: Notarise the original or a photocopy? Send it where?
Criminal check...no notarisation needed? Just send the original? where?
Is that all?
Then you need to wait and Seoul immigration will arrange an interview at the consulate? Yes?

| I am not sure if the CRB check needed for Korea is the same as UK teachers need but if it is my advice to anyone would be to leave plenty of time to get it. There are always backlogs and delays. A colleague of mine invited a friend to go along on the school ski trip over the Christmas holidays and their CRB didn�t come back in time so they couldn�t go. |

So, since those last posts in January can more new teachers tell me about their experience and how long it took? Apparently the pedantic and uselss Korean immigration service isn't happy with just my NZ CRC, they've got to see my UK CRC too. That's going to be fun organizing from New Zealand. |

I seriously hope this still stands and you don't absolutely need the disclosure scotland check! |
