Since the Palestinians are NOT a people there was no land to steal from them. And it wasn't stole it was given to the Israelis by the British and Israel itself was founded by the U.N. At that time it was a British protectorate, so if you are going to blame anybody blame them or the U.N. And there was no invasion in terms of the founding of Israel...what are you going on about?

Why even respond to this quote 5eagles? It's just plain stupid. India joining Pakistan?
What needs to be done is:
(1) Remove the idea of a right of return for the Palestinians who had homes inside what is now the state of Israel.
(2) Israel needs to return the favor by removing all settlements from the West Bank. The power vacume should be filled in with an international force. Similar to the once in Cyprus.
The international force would then need to boost up the Palestinians security forces and do everything in their power to get an economy running there.
This international force will have to be there for at least 5 years. |

Israel (Can't remember which limp sympathizer keeps spelling it Isreal) is the aggressor. They are also in contravention of several UN dictates.It is impossible to call them settlers and the Palestinians terrorists. If it wasn't for the imperialist pigs in the USA, Israel would be an insignificant footnote in the annals of history by now, and the Middle East would be a beautiful, peaceful place.
Communism as Marx envisioned it, is a perfect social system. It's too bad its full potential has never been realized. I'd take it over the capitalist democracy the USA shoves down the world's throat any day. Oh...any of you yanks know anybody who has lost their house yet? George Bush rules eh! |

The Palestinians are certainly a people.
Now I know what you are referring to in that there was really no cohesive Palestinian nation prior to 1948.
Nevertheless, there were certainly people living there.
With that said, what point are you trying to make? I just don't get where you are coming from.
Just because there wasn't a political or military entity known as Palestinians at the time, it doesn't mean that Arabs didn't live there.
And on your second point in that there was no invasion following the creation of the Israeli state;
There are still people alive today who were forced at gunpoint by Israelis off there land and had their homes or farms confiscated by the Israelis. And this dates back to 1948!
This is where the whole right of return comes from.
Ever heard of it? It's one of the most contentious issues in the peace process.
One that I may add, I favor the Israelis position on. |

They are a people. They were not a state no but they were in the land and forced to move and disperse to land that was less desirable by Jews at the guidance of the British.
The British Mandate of Palestine existed after World War I and the collapse of the Ottoman Empire. The purpose of this protectorate was to let the indegenous people whom we now call Palestinians to be propped up until they could support themselves. Jews had been there in smaller numbers but they now had a quota system in place that was enforced by Britain to allow the Jews in at a slower pace so they couldn't take over the country as fast as the Zionist's desired.
Then the flood gates opened after World War II inspired by the holocaust.
Most western nations had a desire to see the Jews reclaim their ancient historical right to the land that is now Israel.
I don't support their stay there in any manner. Anytime a people are displaced for silly ancient religious and historical reasons I find it disgusting. The fact was that muslims controlled the region for many centuries and it was by all means theirs.
Within the last century the Jews were able to use religion and tragedy to force another people into tragedy.
Two wrongs don't make a right.
So I hope the Palestinians fight on. |

| If the Palestinians fight on, they will become extinct. Literally. I'm not saying they should stand by and be bulldozed, and I certainly do not endorse everything Israel has done, but it is silly to support EITHER side continuing the cycle of violence. |
