Hi, i can't find any answer to satisfy this query so here goes!!
I have a single entry visa, but have a trip to Hong Kong booked for Lunar Holiday time...I know i need a single re-entry permit and i've got the form from the immigration website but, as i'm registered with Daegu Immigration do i have to process my application thru them or can i do it at Incheon on my way out of korea as other posters have suggested?
It would be much better for me just to buy the stamp at Incheon, as Daegu is a 2 and 1/2 hour drive away. Has anyone had any similar experiences? Any advice appreciated, i will also try and phone immigration tomorrow. |

You can do it at ANY immigration office - including the office in the airport. Just make sure to allow the time to do so. Do it before you go to any check in counters and so on with the airline; it'll save any hastle.
I think the fee is like 30,000, there is another thread in recent days that shows the same information. |

ok here's the deal.
If you are after a single re-entry stamp you can get it done at the airport. There is an immigration office behind the check in coutners.
If you want a multiple re-entry stamp you have to get it done at the immigration office that you are registered at.
However given that a) immigration changes their policies more often than some people change their undies and b) they're going to busy.
Try and get the stamp before you arrive at Incheon you don't want to miss your plane because of some hold up at immigration. |

I'd like to say again that I have obtained a multiple re-entry stamp at an immigration office other than the one I'm registered at so, if one is closer to you, call ahead and see if it's possible. |

yeah like I said immigration changes their policies all the time. After being denied a mutliple re-entry stamp at IAA. I called mokdong to see if I could get it done there, they said yes, I got there and they told me I had to go back to incheon where I'm registered.
In the end I've learnt my lesson. Your best chance of getting what you want done is it at the immigration office your registered at. |

Thanks for all you answers. Fortunately my director has organised a preschool outing this Friday , so i've got some free time to travel to daegu and sort the permit out before i go to Incheon!! With the traffic next week i think just getting to the airport in time for the flight will be an achievement! |

So you're not going on the preschool outing? Just think what you;ll be missing?
Unexpected weekdays off when you can take care of personal business are such a delicious pleasure! |

Go to immigration at Incheon, it takes a couple of minutes depending on if they are busy and costs 30,000 won. Did it for a trip to China and there were no problems. |
