|

I don't mean to rant.. but FU%K!!! The "Search" function never works for me.. always goes to a blank screen.
Why is this? Can any of the moderators on this form explain it?
Sure this site can be slow at times.. i can live with that.. and i can also live with the 'search' function being slow.. but not working? going to a blank screen?
Would members on this forum consider the 'Search' function useful and/or helpful? why isnt it working.. its SHI%!!!
This is the most popular and if not widely used website for english teachers in korea.. so why not take care of it? this isnt the first time ppl on this board have mentioned this problem. its about damn time someone does something to fix this. |

It sucks and it will never be fixed. People have been complaining about it for years, as far as I know.
It only works if you search one word at a time.
You're better off just using Google. |

Yeah it does suck. But here is my arguement. Daves esl would not exist if it wasnt for its members and thus earns money to operate its site through job postings.. ect.. So why not fix it? <-- that question is rehitorical as i dont expect an answer or reasoning for it.
If your going to operate a site then why not have a functional one. I am sure the 'search' function is useful.
And your right, it does work if u use one word. how hard can it be to fix it to use multiple words? sheesh.. shaking my head about this. |

The search function is close to zero
But still usable if you type more words than just one or two (not too many though, the engine passes out when it gets confused.)
Also choose the "search for all items", and specify one forum.
All in all, google is the best. |

If you can find the thread labeled "NERDY something or other" there are plugins you can install to makes Dave's work better. One of these is the built in Google search function for Dave's. |

Yes, and please for the Love of God start using it before posting the same retarded threads loaded with the complaints about Korea or looking for foreign goods. |

Dave Sperling does not care about his site. He only cares it brings in money. He has no pride in it. It's an old POS and i'm sure he doesn't even update it. He will do the bare minimum to keep this site running so it can still bring him in money. |

Search is permanently broken. Don't expect full functionality out of this site as it hangs and slows down often. Uh oh, it's 9:45PM, almost time for the site to quit working for about a half hour to 45 minutes. |
