I've recently started using torrents to download movies. I use BitComet and usually download from wTorrent.

The problem is that any recent movie i download (2008) always seems to be encrypted. There's always instructions to visit some website and follow a series of steps which involves giving your email address, and waiting for a code to come back. Is this some sort of dirty trick, or is it standard procedure?

Thanks

It's a dirty trick.

Use other websites. Preferably member sites like Demonoid.com which don't allow such dirty tricks.

plus you might want to consider downloading utorrent.

www.utorrent.com

It is small and (imo) is a much better torrent client. Most private sites don't allow bitcomet. Smile
