More extreme behaviour from the land of extremes. I am sure this number is vastly higher. Just like the number of smokers, the number of rapes, the number of suicides and incidences of domestic violence.

During hard economic times average people are more prone to vice. This is in Korea and elsewhere. The downturn in Korea is just starting and is going to be very severe. It will get worse. So will the vice.

Shocked there are only 171 308 alcoholic koreans? perhaps if you add an exponent to this number you'd have a more realistic statistic.
