Usually after midnight in my neighborhood in Seoul, I noticed 10 guys or so all huddled together outside or inside the 24hr ATM machine booths, playing with their PDA's or something.
Anyone know what they are doing? Some have 2 PDA's or phones in their hands at once.
Everytime I go to take out cash, I gotta zig zag through a bunch of them

i've wondered this too. whenever i would come out of this bar there were always a few guys standing in the hallway of the building with cellphones and pdas in their hands. we thought they were calling cabs for people but there was already a row of cabs outside.
maybe they're pimps? |

I'll bet they found an open wifi signal in that exact area, and are using it to get e-mail and stuff. That or they are surfing the net for hookers. I hear that is big these days.
There is a newer article than this, which I cannot find, that gives much higher statistics as of just a month ago:

| I think they are probably designated drivers. They all carry PDA's because the companies give it to them. It's to give them directions for the next customer. |

| I agree with the drivers. Dae ri un jeon....I dont have a hangeul keyboard. They are the guys who drive drunk people's cars home for them so they dont have to take a cab and pick up the car the next day. |
