Hooker Hill is in Itaewon. From exit 3 of Itaewon station walk straight until you get to the intersection that has the Dunkin Donuts on the corner. Head right at the intersection. About 20 yards up the street you can go left (you will see a sign that says "VIP"), this is "The Hill". Walk up the street, the girls will open their doors and ask you to come in. Simple as that. If you don't take that left the next left is homo hill and if you go up the street a little further then there are some more brothels by "What the Book". Check it out on a weekend night. Booze + Hookers + Fights + GI's = A whole lot of fun  |

I mean yeah, when I first meet a woman I'll buy her a drink or dinner.
But if I hit that, at least I know that there's a very good chance that she likes me in return and that she hasn't slept with five other guys the same week.
So your comparision fallls way short. |

After being here 2 years, I have realized that prostitution is the fdark cloud that overs hugely over Korean culture that no one talks about.
But one you get a Korean girlfriend and make a handful of friends you begin to see the HUGE role prostitution plays in this culture.
One thing ive noticed with Korean gf's is that they would get angry and even crazy when i said i wanted to go on an night out with the boys and this would infuriate me. But then, I went for a night out with the Korean boys and I could understand her suspicion. The night out with the Korean boys consisted of drinking tons of soju in a HOF the goin to a 노래빠 (not bang) ordering some agashi's then the one's would could still stand went to anma's or barber shop's.
After I saw this, i confroted my gf and actually invited her on a night out and she saw that this was not really a night out with the boys for me and she calmed down a bit.
I dont have a huge problem with prostitution, in fact I think most guys who cause big problems are the guys who dont routinely get sex. SO the crackdown on prostitution IMO will make this place much more dangerous, because 90% of the male population will not me sexually satisfied anymore. |
Yep, instead of the Koreans going to the prostitutes, they wills start raping more women. I guess I can't go out at night anymore. |

i guess i didn't really get this until i went out drinking with a coworker - an adjoshi a few nights ago. he wanted to introduce me to longstanding Korean act of "men going out drinking". i've been here a year already, but had never done gone out drinking with Korean guys before.
"this is Korean culture" he kept saying.
"you drink too slow" he said
"you, drink more" ... by this time i was starting to get annoyed.
then 3am came around, and he was slurring shit like:
"you're a MAN! you can do whatever you want. you're not married. you can go find girls. do kissing. masturbation. anything you want"
he said this at least a few times. it was already 3am and he clearly didn't want to go home but wanted to pay a visit to a barber shop. i respectfully declined, saying that I love my girlfriend and don't want other girls. i guess that was weird to a married man who earlier in the evening showed me pictures of his children, and had me talk to his wife on the phone. after heading home, i started feeling sorry for his wife and kids.
seriously, marriage in this country doesn't seem to carry much weight in men deciding to go out and bang hookers. my K-girlfriend just said "i told you" when I told her about the night. Half a year ago, she would've freaked out, but by now trusts me not to go out and do things the Korean way.

I am not trying to be offensive, I know there are great Korean guys here, the thing is, I am really stupid to tell who are innocent and who are not (especially in ten years), so I generalize. |
