I was told by my recruiter in an email that transcripts are to be both stamped AND signed by the issuer; however, I just received my transcripts in the mail and the only thing on the back is a stamp stating "Enclosed transcript is UNOFFICIAL if opened prior to delivery".

No signature.

I don't even remember that being an option when requesting the transcripts from my University. Has anyone else encountered this problem, and is it even a problem being that they are actually official, even without the signature?

I ask because I'd like to send my documents out today and expedite the visa process so I can finally get my butt to Korea.

Thanks in advance!

Are they not signed on the inside? Perhaps that's what it means, I know mine were (bottom of the 2nd page). Perhaps you should call your school and ask, it might seem odd if you've got another random signature on the outside.

It's not a problem. My transcripts simply stated ONLY OFFICIAL IF SEALED in bright read...there was no signature on the back, and I had no problem getting a visa #. Just make sure that the envelope has the school name/logo on the front, along with your name, and SOMETHING across the envelope flap assuring that it has not been tampered with.

I decided on KDM Language Center in Sinchon. They offered me everything that I was looking for. So, hooray for that!
