Is the English to Korean translation facility on Google any better than the Korean to English facility?

Your topic asks if it's accurate, but your post asks if it's better than the Korean to English translator. I don't know if it can translate English into Korean better than it can translate vice-versa, but I do know that like (virtually?) all automatic translation services, it's probably not very accurate in general, especially for anything involving multiple words, long sentences, idioms, et cetera. |

Seems fine to me. I keep it on my iGoogle homepage and use it every day. I used to use dictionary.com's translator but found it too slow. The google one can handle sentences quite well. I use it to translate reviews on gmarket and can usually get what the person is saying. |

Good point. 'Accurate' can be quite subjective so I thought I'd define a reasonably objective (from my perspective!) measuring point. I consider the Korean->English translation facility not very reliable, so if the English->Korean translation facility is the same or worse then I would conclude that it isn't accurate enough for me. I wouldn't expect any translator to be 100% accurate. |

I use WorldLingo, babelfish and google and they are sometimes helpful for one or two word translations. However, oftentimes the translated rendition makes no sense at all, leaving back at zero and guessing. |
