I went to pick up Little Big Planet today at my local Home Plus. The version they have notes that both the disc, and manual are in Korean.

MOST games that are in English actually say so on the back cover. I've been burned on this in the past (Assassin's Creed was 100% Korean with no language options available).

Has anyone bought the "Korean" version? Is the game itself in English?

Alternatively, has anyone found an English copy in Korea? I checked Play Asia, and they want about 80,000 won for the bloody thing!

Shocked

Thanks for the reply!

Are you able to check the back of the case for me?

On the copy I looked at, it says the disc and manual are in Korean.

If yours is the same (with regard to the disc symbol), then I'm sold!

Cheers!

Did you get an answer to this?

I also want to grab a copy, but the box says manual and disc are Korean.

Question

No answer yet, mate. I'm going to send a PM and see if I can get in touch with registered. I'll let you know if I sort it out.

If not, I might just buy it an have a go!

Did you download the MGS stuff from the American (ie English) Playstation Network? If so, unfortunately you have wasted your money.

You have to download DLC from the same network (not sure about the details, but at least I can say American downloads don't work with Korean versions of games) as the game you've bought, in my experience. I did the same thing with DLC for COD4.

I know this is also the case with LBP, because I have downloaded free things from the US site that haven't shown up, but they did once I dl'ed them from the Korean PSN.

To do this you need to create a new user on the Korean network. Once installed, it can still be used on your other account. I think you still have to use a 'PSN Card' to pay for things on the Korean PSN, which you get by paying on Sony's Korean site. Doing this, as well as shopping on the Korean PSN, requires some rudimentary Korean skills, or a friend. I think I paid by cell phone account...

It's weird that you're having a problem with your PSN. I haven't had any issues to date - in fact I was playing Socom nearly a month before it was available on the Asian PSN.

My PS3 is Korean, my CC is American and I get American PSN.

I'm not having problems with the PSN. It's not the relationship between system and network, it's only between games and DLC (downloadable content) specific to that game. IE I can't download map packs for Call of Duty in English when my game is in Korean. Understandable, really.

Only DLC for a game I've bought in Korea do I download from the Korean PSN.
