I don't sympatize with drug users here either. It's stupid. However it is very scary how easily you could be framed, seeing how there's no need for real evidence.
I was tested before in Ulsan. The cops just popped in one day at my school and told me I had to pee in a cup. All that happened was somebody reported seeing a foreigner smoking pot in a bar that I hung out in. I never knew if this was true or not. It scared the hell out of me, cause of how easy it would be to rig the test and throw me in jail. What could I really do about it? |
I doubt they'd bother to rig the test. A lot of paperwork and hassle. Besides if they started rigging tests, there wouldn't be any English teachers left in Korea. Would YOU come back (or over in the first place) if you knew Korean cops had a penchant for rigging tests? And it wouldn't be just English teachers. Multinational companies wouldn't bother either. No one would want to risk being accused of taking drugs and going to jail.
But why would cops want to do this? It's not if as they are getting paid to do so. |

I recently lost a job because an ex-girlfriend told my new school that I gave exctasy to my "Let's Go 1 " class. These Kids are about 8 years old. Anyaway, besides the fact tht it is total bullshit, my new school took the advice of an anonoymous e-mail and tossed me from the job. I could've had 3 months paid vacation, but it's all gone due to an anon e-mail by a jaded ex-gf and her new Korean boyfriend. Justice in Korea, |
