I am considering teaching in Busan and wanted to know some good parts to live at there. I am 23 and I would like to know if Busan has a lot going on and would like to live near downtown. Know of any good areas in Busan? I am also considering Seoul, but the high cost of living and number of people has lead me to Busan which is still a big city but not as crowded. |

haeundae is the beach area and there are usually a lot of jobs there and its a pretty fun area. A lot of the foreigner-centric nightlife is around Pusan National University. The other downtown is Seomyeon and there are actually a ton of areas that are one or two subway stops away from there. |

Haeundae is a nice area to live. I live in Haeundae.
Gwangalli/ Kyungsung National University is also a great area to live. Lots to do, Gwangalli beach is just as nice as Haeundae, bit smaller and less buys sometimes.
I dont spend too much time out in the PNU (Pusan National University) area so I cant really comment.
I lived near Seomyeon my first year and found myself going to Haeundae or Kyungsung all the time. |
