I was wondering is anyone might have any information as to whether or not seoul has a decent opera company or classical symphany. I recently realised that one of the main things that I missed about living back home was the classical concerts and operas I used to regularly attend. I did a quick google search but that came up rather fruitless and the only sites that looked promissing were all in Korean. Therefore does anyone know the address of a website that lists various classical concerts being held in seoul or if seoul even has its own opera company?

They are doing Le Nozze di Figaro right now.
I read that Covent Garden/ROH is coming, soon, too, but I can't remember what they are doing - I think Verdi. |

Are you a classical musician by any chance?
I myself am a classically trained lyric soprano and a pianist.
Haven't found many people who like classical music here. As an aside, my 4 year old is about to start ballet lessons and violin lessons in March when she starts school. Can't wait!! I got her her ballet dress and shoes the other day and she wouldn't stop twirling in it! So cute. |
