Arvinsign,
I got accepted to graduate school and I will be bringing my wife and daughter to the US. I plan to buy a full frame camera such as the D700 with a 50mm 1.4G when I start earning some money again after I graduate. I see full frame next logical step in my photography because I love shooting in low light (and even the night) and with full frame cameras you get better performance in those situations. I figure that I will have my hands full with immigration and school and don't want to have both of my hobbies distracting me (the other being grappling) and costing me money.
BTW,
If anyone wants to see shots I took with this lens and camera they can see them here:

A lot of those shots were actually taken in extremely low light situations (aquarium and theme park during the night and late evening). |

thats a nice combo a Nikon D700 + 50mm 1.4 im dreaming f the Canon 5D mark II for myself too. A full frame is really a big step in this very expensive hobby.
your Canon 350 rebel + the 50mm 1.8 is a good starting kit for people interested in jumping from a Point and shoot to digital SLR.
Btw, congrats and good luck to grad school. |
