I have no idea what forum to put this in...

I was thinking, I'm supposed to leave from the US in the last days of February to go to Korea to start my new job. Meanwhile, as you probably know, N. Korea is supposed to be launching their missile at the same time.

I hate to make this issue about myself, but do you think it could affect my ability to get into Korea? Do you think that flights could get seriously delayed or canceled at that time?

I'm not worried about going to S. Korea in of itself at all. But am I too concerned about this particular issue? Thanks.

Don't worry about it. The ROK isn't going to shut down air travel due to the wacky norks.

I would think twice about coming to South Korea, period! By the end of February, we'll be lucky if the peninsula still exists!

You should probably rearrange your route. Fly to Hong Kong first, then come up here. That way, your flight route won't be directly across the Nork's missile path (which is being fired from their NE coast and probably across Japan). It would really suck to get blown out of the sky while you're waiting for your second bag of airline peanuts.

maybe another reason to get some comprehensive travel insurance, one that protects against terrorist attacks!

seriously though, i have been seeing this crop up more recently; it might simply be to "test" (damn you biden!) obama?

i'd be lying if i said i wasn;t worried about it either though.

I bet Obama would shine in a foreign policy crisis. But we won't know until it happens, right Joe?
