| My boss is trying to buy my ticket in Korea but most korean websites only offer the departing city to be in Korea. Does anyone know a travel agent that has departure cities in Canada? Shes trying to purchase the ticket online. |

Well, you could always tell your boss to make a phone call instead of being too stubborn if she cannot do it by herself using the Internet. Most if not all online travel agencies also have phone numbers to reach them. For instance, go to www.whypaymore.co.kr and look at the bottom of the main page on the left side and you'll see their phone numbers and office hours.
Sorry I can't provide an online travel agency website you could use, but you boss is Korean and most websites here are oriented towards Koreans, so she should handle it.
On the other hand, tell her to use Air Canada's website! She'll definitely find any city in Canada with an airport quite easily. |

I can't tell you for sure because I've never used my Korean credit card anywhere else than in Korea and I don't work for Air canada; however, I've used my Canadian credit card in at least 3 other countries other than Canada, so I would expect that it worked. The only way to find out is to try it.
So, that's sort of what I did (try it!). I went to Air Canada's site and checked for fun. I tried www.aircanada.com and selected my country of residence as being Korea but was redirected to the Canadian edition of their website, as they don't have a Korean one. I searched for a one-way flight and when it was time to pay, "Republic of Korea" was already selected for me in the billing address section, so I'm pretty confident your boss will be able to use his/her Korean credit card. Also, I made the same search for the same flight using Expedia.ca and going through Air Canada's website was a few hundred dollars cheaper. It may depend on your departure date and city, though. |
